8853 WILLIAMSBURG BYRD CHINA TABLE BY BAKER FURNITURE CO.

This extraordinary china table is reproduced from a Williamsburg original, circa 1770, with ties to the Byrd family of Virginia as referenced by the carved bird in the open fret-work skirt. This reproduction was first made by the Williamsburg Cabinet Shop as a special order item and was later part of the Williamsburg Reproduction Program and made for a limited period by Kittinger (CW192) and later Baker.

NICHOLAS BROWN TEA TABLE BY JOHN GODDARD

This exceedingly fine bench-made reproduction of the Nicholas Brown tea table truly conveys the sculptural craftsmanship of the John Goddard original. Testimony to the masterful design and provenance of the original is its recent sale at Sotheby's New York for an astounding $8.4 MILLION. This reproduction is made of figuratively grained mahogany. It features a sculptured apron supporting a tray top with a step-molded edge. Its graceful cabriole legs are visually enhanced with palmetto and leaf carving and rest on anatomically correct ball and claw feet.

83-803 WINTERTHUR PHILADELPHIA TEA TABLE

This forcefully executed solid mahogany tea table is a reproduction of a Philadelphia antique, circa 1775, shown in the Blackwell Parlor of the Winterthur Museum. With its finely carved skirt, acanthus leaf accent and ball and claw feet, this table represents the best of Philadelphia 18th Century design. This is an early and rare piece from the Winterthur Collection.

An epitome of Irish Rococo design dating to the mid-18th Century, this outstanding reproduction tea table by Kindel Furniture Company is unsurpassed in its superior craftmanship. Made of figurative grained mahogany, it features an outstandingly carved apron with a center shell and acanthus leaves draping down the legs which terminate in double scrolled trifid feet.

HN 4 HISTORIC NEWPORT TEA TABLE BY KITTINGER

This outstanding reproduction of an original Townsend-Goddard tea table, from the collection of the Newport Historical Society, captures in great detail the design elements of the original antique. This table features a convex molding forming the tray top. With its gracefully flowing cabriole legs and expertly shaped slipper feet, this table clearly shows the work of a master cabinetmaker. It should be noted that with its simple, clean lines this table is well suited for a traditional or contemporary room setting.

The original of this spectacular and rare Williamsburg reproduction Hepplewhite table was made in Baltimore, circa 1795. Made of mahogany, this table is lavishly enhanced with delicate string inlay to each leg, oval inlays to the sides and drawer with inlaid escutcheon and a running "W" design winding around the top edge. Originally designed as a sewing table, this occasional table is perfect as an accent piece in multiple room settings. This table was formerly made by Kittinger for Williamsburg as a model WA3002.

This superb Hepplewhite reproduction table, in the Neo-Classical style, is part of Kittinger's Old Sturbridge Village, Massachusetts Collection. Gracefully executed, this table is fashioned from select, figurative mahogany with delicate Boxwood string inlay to the legs which have square cuffs and a cross-stretcher base for added stability. Also known as a kettle stand, this table originally would have been used for serving tea with a pull-out slide for placing a cup and saucer. Adaptable for multiple uses, this table is perfect as a companion to a wing chair and can support an appropriate lamp and provide a resting place for a beverage.

TJ2122 THOMAS JEFFERSON TILT-TOP CANDLESTAND

This reproduction tilt-top candlestand was authorized by The Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation, dating to 1947, and copies the original antique brought to Monticello from Jefferson's boyhood home at Shadwell. Made of solid mahogany, this faithful reproduction features a delicately designed, wafer thin top supported by a slender, fluted column. The top of the legs are also detailed with unique fluting and rest on raised pad feet. This table is considered one of the finer pieces in the Monticello collection.

TJ2123 THOMAS JEFFERSON TABLE BY BIGGS/KITTINGER

From the Old Dominion Collection, this fine reproduction of Thomas Jefferson's birdcage candlestand at Monticello is diminutive in size with a delicately turned shaft and cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The original of this table is believed to have been made by John Hemings, a slave who became a skillful cabinetmaker and executed many of Jefferson's original designs. The overall scale of this table makes it perfect for use where space is a consideration.

T731-2 CORNER BASIN STAND BY KITTINGER

One of the finer Kittinger reproductions is this corner basin stand in the Hepplewhite style. This basin stand is an exact copy of an exceptionally refined New England antique dating to 1780. Made of beautifully grained mahogany, there is satinwood string inlay decorating the basin shelf as well as the center shelf drawer and two drawer effects on either side. This beautifully graceful piece features a dovetailed backsplash with upper shelf and is fitted with a CW9 Williamsburg pewter basin by Stieff.

This reproduction 1720 Queen Anne corner table has a triangular top with a serpentine front edge and a skirt which conforms to the shape of the top. The single cabriole leg, decorated with a carved shell and pendant bellflowers, terminates in a pad foot.
